East Lake: Situated on south bank of the Yangtze River. East Lake is a natural expanse of greenery and water. It was created by the silting up of a huge lake through which the Yangtze once flowed.

It has an area of 84 km2 of water, the lake is nearly 6 times larger than Hangzhou's West Lake. East Lake was known as "the lake of 99 bays."

There are several scenic spots along the bank, and water sports like swimming, boating, yachting are also offered, but the most fascinating impresion comes from the pictures lake itself.

Guiyuan Temple: Known as the Temple of Original Tranquility, is a busy Buddhist monastery that was first built during 1658 in Qing dynasty. Guiyuan Temple was destroyed and rebuilt many times in its history and the present temple dates from the early Republic of China.

Guiyuan Temple has an area of 46,900 m2 with a floor space of 20,000 m2, the monastery is famous in Buddhist circles for its scripture collection - which includes around of 7, 000 volumes set of the rare Longcan Sutra.

Nowadays, the visitors can look several hundred individually styled saintly statues in the Arhat Hall, and the statue of Sakyamuni in the main hall, carved from a single block of white jade, a gift from Burma in 1935.

Museum of Hubei Province: It is a comprehensive, provincial-level one. During 2001, it has been classified as "AAAA" scenic area by the National Tourism Administration.

The Museum of Hubei Province has a store of 146,000 pieces of cultural relics and 672 of which are first class State treasures. The collections are of different kinds.

Qingchuan Pavilion: Situated at the east foot of Guishan and by the north side of the Yangtze River. Qingchuan Pavilion was first established in the Ming Dynasty between 1522 and 1567 and after was restored in 1983.

Qingchuan Pavilion was also called "Qingchuan Building", the pavilion is made mainly with stone and wood, though glass and metal have been used for the doorframes and windows.

Yellow Crane Tower: Located on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, Yellow Crane Tower is regarded as the symbol of Wuhan town. It was built in the year 223 during Three Kingdooms period, the Yellow Crane Tower is one of the 3 most famous towers in south China.
