Tibet HistoryThe tribes more known of Tibet were the Sumpa and the Chiang, who lived in the second century before christ. Excavations around Chamdo in Tibet unearthed several remains of neolithic people of around 50.000. years old. Tibetan civilisation began around the Yarlung Valle. Legend has it that here a she-devil and a monkey produced the first Tibettiants. During 600 AD, Namri Songtsem started bringing together the tribes of Tibet into a unified empire. But, its son Songsen built the empire into a fearfull entity in Central Asia and moved the capital to Lhasa.
The history of the Tibet can be divided into the following periods: • From the 7th to the 10th century: During the Tang Dynasty: Close Relations between Tibet & Central China • 13th century: During the Yuan Dynasty: Tibet began an administrative Region of China • From the 14th to the 17th century: The Ming Imperial Court's Administration of Tibet • From the 17th to the 20th century: The Qing Imperial Court Improving the Administration of Tibet. • From 1912 to 1949: The Nationalist Government Safeguards of the Sovereignty of China over Tibet. • 1951: Peaceful Liberation of Tibet in 1951 |
