Macau EntertainmentMacau is well known for its diversity, frenetic activity, mystery and cosmopolitan features, especially in night, when life seems to continue as similar as during the day. The majority of bars, shops and restaurants are open all night, but its diverse and great casinos have converted to Macau in a gamblers' paradise also known as the "Oriental Las Vegas". There are ten major casinos in the Peninsula and Taipa, operating 24 hours a day. All of them offer an ample varies of games from diverse parts of the world, including baccarat, blackjack, roulette, boule, fan-tan and slot machines. Macau’s nightlife also counts with numerous pubs, bars and discos in the three districts. The largest hotels are provided with its own bars. Discos offer top music of both local music (in Mandarin, Cantonese) and international music (European, Brazilian, African). Night Show Performances are also common. Furthermore, Macau has been developing a reputation as a continental place for top-sporting events. Today, the city boasts the Macau Stadium, a great venue for football; the Olympic swimming pool, the Macau Grand Prix and the fine Macau Golf and Country Club.
