Western and international food

There are several places in China which offer Western and international food with a wide range of foods and qualities. Hong Kong has the best variety, with several excellent restaurants providing international dishes, from French cuisine to Vietnamese cuisine.

There are also an important number of hotels which serve Western food in the principal cities (Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou).

Elsewhere, tourist accommodations frequently offer "Western-style" meals such as pizza, steak, pancakes and salad; especially in cities with a high quantity of foreigners (Yangshuo in Guangxi, for example).

The open economic policy of China has allowed that genuine McDonald's, KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants appear at the center of the biggest cities in recent years. These restaurants provide a quality service and the products well known throughout the world.
