Get in Dunhuang
By Bus: Dunhuang has two main bus stations diagonally across from each other. Usually, buses leave from the principal bus station and not the long distance bus station.

• Hami (3 weekly); takes around of 8 hours
• Jiayuguan; takes around of 4-8 hours
• Lanzhou; takes around of 17-24 hours
• Liuyuan; takes around of 3 hours
• Zhangye; takes around of 13 hours
By Plane: Dunhuang Airport is located 13 km east of city center. Flights are available to Beijing via Urumqi, Xian, and Lanzhou.
By Train: Dunhuang Huoche Zhan is actually situated 130 km north of Dunhuang in the city of Liuyuan. Train schedules sometimes say Dunhuang instead of Liuyuan.
