Datong ListingsAirlines: Airline CAAC situated on 1 Nanguan Nan Jie, telephone 0352-2044039 and open daily from 8:30 am to 5:00pm. Economy: The GDP per capita was ¥10550 (ca. US$1270) per annum in 2003, ranked no. 242 among 659 Chinese towns. Coal mining is the dominant industry. Hospital: Hospital People's, situated in the south of the town on Yingbin Xi Lu, just west of the crossroads with Xinjian Nan Lu. Shopping: There are very few shopping centers in Datong, but you can visit a small Friendship Store at 17 Nanguan Nan Jie. Buses: Buses for local cities, including Hunyuan and Yingxian, leave from the bus station on Xinjian Bei Lu about 1km from the train station. Xinkaili bus station, in the west of city, is the place to catch buses to the Yungang Caves. |
