Train: Trains from Beijing - a 8-hour journey.

Nowadays, there are overnight trains run from Datong to Beijing and from Beijing to Datong. The ticket costs around of 250 Yuan.

Usually, booking tickets at the Datong train station can be very difficult as for popular directions a large part of the tickets are hatched by black market sellers when they become available 4 days before the train runs.
